Safety 

United Power Contractors’ Safety Program has been driven by a continuous demand for improvement across all contributing elements: systems, management, operations, equipment, and culture. Over the course of the last few years our incident rate has dropped by over 9 points with the help of ongoing and consistent implementation of safe work practices and management oversight. Employees are screened prior to employment, then trained beyond minimum compliance to include best practices for high levels of efficiency and performance. Crews are observed regularly and data from the observations is analyzed for leading indicators that instruct us on new measures, training, or other process improvements that may need to be made. This has helped us to get one step ahead of an accident in order to prevent it before it can occur.  Our goals for our Safety Program include more future-oriented and holistic solutions, ongoing training that is relevant and robust, and increased accountability through greater communication and transparency. 

Bottom line -- We want our crews to go home safe at the end of the day.
